If you're like me, you probably have a huge collection of photos of your children's years at school....... school is such a BIG part of their lives and there are always so many opportunities for photos such as Easter Bonnet Parade, School Musicals, Spring Day, Graduation, Awards, Sports Day, Swimming Carnival, Senior Formals, First Day etc.
Are you looking for some ideas to scrapbook those school photos that have been sitting in the box/packet for way too long???
These photos were taken some 14 years ago so when I had to decide on a project, this is what came to mind immediately!
Today, I'd like to share some of my layouts which I've recently done of my 3 sons starting school in Australia just a week after emigrating here from South Africa in 1997. Such sweet memories! My sons enjoyed a good laugh when they saw the stubbies they were wearing!!!!
I used a2zScraplet school theme titles and other embellishments; the titles, in particular, are truly inspirational and can add a very special touch to your layouts! The first layout is of my youngest son in Yr 1.
and the next is of the 3 very happy brothers at their new school!
I used Border Strip 09 which I cut to suit my design and the title: Too COOL for SCHOOL.
In this layout I used the title: BACK TO SCHOOL which I painted and chalked and BORDER RIC RAC....this comes in a set of 2; I used the wide one.
In the following layout I used the corner word Back to School.....the great thing about corner words is that you can use them as is, or cut them up into smaller parts...... and a cog.
Starting Grade Zero in South Africa.
Title: FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL and Tree 11.
A double page layout.....Title: School Days.... are fun days! I also used the other half of BORDER STRIP 09.
I hope, that not only have you enjoyed this trip down memory lane with me, but that you are motivated to get your kiddies' school photos out to scrapbook too!
